Every one of us behind Dehestani Foundation has sat in a hospital room with someone we loved, watching cancer take not just their health but their savings. So we built the thing we wished had existed then: direct financial help, real guidance, and a place to turn — funded entirely by people like you.
Who We Are
We're a group of friends who didn't set out to start a foundation. What we had in common was worse: a mother, a father, a brother, a sister, a child — each of us lost someone to cancer. Some of us spent years in waiting rooms before that happened. All of us know what it's like to watch someone we love get sicker while a bill sits unopened on the counter.
Cancer doesn't just take a toll on the body. It empties bank accounts, ends careers, and leaves families choosing between treatment and rent. We started Dehestani Foundation because we lived that, and we didn't want anyone to have to live it alone.
How We Help
When someone reaches out to us, we don't hand them a pamphlet — we help cover what their treatment actually costs. We focus on elderly patients especially, because they're the ones most often facing this alone, on a fixed income, without anyone to advocate for them. Every donation we receive, one-time or recurring, goes straight into that effort. Nothing is held back for overhead, because there isn't any.
